For those interested this is the result of the post "How to edit a style template?"

This is the Burlap Style with a modified version of the Decayed Template.  Call it inspiration if you wish. I have named this Undecayed.

It is the design for my wedding website.

Many thanks to Littleus for inspiration and help in the making of this template/and my website.

Please note that this is for the Burlap style.  Other styles such as cleanslate have the banner obscuring the text and design at the top.  However, I have not checked this with all other styles.  The general principles such as getting the right pixel width will apply for all styles.  I must also stress that I've not checked this in other displays:  as I'm new to this, I'm not sure if that will affect what you see.

Brief for making your own

Most of the available templates consist of a seemlessly repeating image.  This template consists of a single image file at just the right pixel width (height isn't so much of an issue, just keep it long), to stop it 'repeating.  It would do this if it is too small.

Strangely enough the ideal pixel width for the index page is smaller at 1265 pixels.  For all the other pages it is 1280 pixels.

I simply used Skitch to take screenshots and Preview (Mac OS) to put it together.  I'm sure PCs with Vista can do all this and maybe more!  Using other manipulation software you can get even better results, if you have time.  I used Gimp to add a border not part of the original Decayed Template, found on google.

I hope this gives beginners like me an idea of what you can do with your systems basic software and freeware available.
